Experienced General Valuer

Based at: The Joyce Building, Station Road, Whitchurch, Shropshire, SY13 1RD.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.30pm. Flexibility will be required during busy periods.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced general valuer with a focus on a specialist area to join our expanding team at Trevanion Auctioneers.

This is a full-time position that encompasses the provision of valuations for sale, probate and insurance purposes both at the saleroom and the homes of our clients.

You will be required to catalogue, photograph and curate sections within ten  specialist sales per year.

Auctioneering experience is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work efficiently and effectively in a busy and fast paced environment.
  • Have exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Be IT literate and have good numeracy skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent personal, front of house manner.
  • The role will include moving lots, large or small, thus the ideal candidate would need good levels of fitness.
  • Possess excellent problem solving, planning and communication skills.The ideal candidate will have at least three years auction house experience and a proven track record in valuations, cataloguing and be able to source items
